The Agriculture Bureau of Taichung City Government has been advising the Daya District Farmers' Association in organizing the Wheat Industry Culture Festival for 22 years, attracting tens of thousands of participants annually. A press conference for the "Wheat Industry Culture Festival - Wheat Ears Jumping Circus" (小麥產業文化節「麥穗蹦馬戲」) event will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, March 2nd, 2026, at the square in front of Baoxing Temple of Daya District in Taichung City, to promote the event.

The event will be held on Saturday, March 7th, at 9:00 AM at the square in front of Baoxing Temple. Every March, when wheat ripens of Daya District, with golden waves of wheat swaying in the wind, filling the air with the fragrance of wheat, showcasing the golden wheat-growing landscape of Daya District, making visitors feel as if they are in a European wheat field. Through wheat field art installations and creative displays deeply integrated with the natural environment, not only is a creative artistic atmosphere presented, but it also perfectly commingle with local culture, making it one of the highlights of this year's festival. We hope that every visitor to Daya can fully enjoy this vibrant and romantic spring festival in this verdant wheat field. On the day of the event, there will be fun activities in the wheat field, a wheat-ear circus-style parent-child craft activity, and a showcase and sale of agricultural products from various districts of Taichung City, as well as local specialties from wheat-growing regions. The event will also include the "2026 the Farmers' Day Commendation Ceremony of Daya District," expressing the highest respect and gratitude to the hardworking farmers and recognizing their long-term contributions to Taiwanese agriculture. It is hoped that by recognizing outstanding farmers, the traditional agricultural culture and the fundamental value of agricultural development can be preserved. The Agriculture Bureau stated that wheat is one of the important crops in Daya District, with an annual planting area of ​​approximately 107 hectares and a yield of approximately 289 metric tons. In recent years, the Daya District Farmers' Association has successfully developed "Ya Nong Wheat Rice"(「雅農小麥米」), a product that can be cooked with white rice. Fresh, delicious, and with a unique flavor, it has been well-received by consumers. Everyone is welcomed to visit the hometown of wheat and enjoy the wheat fields with the aroma of wheat.
