FOODEX JAPAN 2026（2026東京國際食品展）, Asia’s leading professional food exhibition, officially opened today, March 10. For the first time, the Agriculture Bureau of the Taichung City Government integrated the city brand "Taichung Fresh" and led local farmers’ associations and agricultural processing businesses from Taichung to participate in the exhibition. On the very first day, the booth attracted the attention of numerous international buyers, demonstrating the strong capabilities of Taichung agricultural products in entering international markets and marking a successful start.
The Agriculture Bureau stated that this is the first time Taichung has participated in FOODEX JAPAN under an integrated city brand image. The exhibition area features a diverse and distinctive range of processed agricultural products, including rice-based processed foods, alcoholic beverages, snack foods, and specialty processed agricultural products. Combining product quality, innovative flavors, and packaging design, the display successfully attracted buyers from Japan and other overseas markets, and exchanges were lively on the opening day.
The Agriculture Bureau explained that, on the opening day of the exhibition, the Taichung City Government witnessed a exchanging ceremony of cooperation agreements between local agricultural businesses and international distribution operators. This symbolized the deepening of cooperative relations between Taichung agricultural products and overseas markets and laid an important foundation for future product exports and channel expansion. The tangible cooperation results also added a highlight to Taichung’s first participation in the exhibition.
The Agriculture Bureau pointed out that FOODEX JAPAN is an important professional food exchange platform in Asia. Achieving cooperation results on the very first opening day of its debut participation fully demonstrated the competitive advantages of Taichung agricultural products in terms of quality, branding, and market adaptability. In the future, the Bureau will continue to assist local farmers’ associations and businesses in expanding overseas distribution channels through international exhibitions and professional matchmaking mechanisms, thereby steadily promoting Taichung agricultural products to the international market.
