The first-phase boardwalk in the Gaomei Wetland Preservation Area in Taichung will be closed from September 9, 2024, to September 23, 2024, to carry out maintenance work on the wooden boardwalk and surrounding facilities.
Based on: Article 4 of the Zoning Control and Related Regulations of the Gaomei Wetland Preservation Area (Fu-Shou-Nong-Lin-Zi No. 1100157171) announced by the Taichung City Government on June 23, 2021.
Announcement:
1. Control Period: From September 9, 2024, to September 23, 2024.
2. During the control period, the first-phase wooden boardwalk (approximately 228 meters from the entrance) will be closed, and tourists will be prohibited from entering.
3. Minor repairs, improvement of concrete steps, and reinforcement of pavilions (requiring at least 50 calendar days, depending on the actual progress of the work) will be carried out around the area. Stay away from the work area to ensure your safety.
4. Please strictly adhere to the preservation area's control measures. Violators will be fined between NT$50,000 and NT$250,000 in accordance with Article 50, Paragraph 1, Subparagraph 2 of the Act on Wildlife Conservation.
