The Agriculture Bureau Director Chang Ching-Chang noted that last year marked the bureau’s first participation in the show, featuring a 10-booth setup that generated over NT$12 million in post-event benefits. This year, the scale of the Taichung Pavilion has doubled, with an expanded exhibition integrating smart agriculture and its brand—echoing the theme of this year’s food show, “Precision Nutrition & Green Intelligence.” The pavilion will also feature a series of interactive experiences and product tastings. In alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, the pavilion highlights SDG 2: “Zero Hunger,” by promoting food security and sustainable agriculture, and SDG 12: “Responsible Consumption and Production,” by fostering a green economy and ensuring sustainable consumption and production. These efforts aim to provide visitors with a deeper understanding of Taichung’s agricultural features, product applications, and brand philosophy.
Director Chang further noted that to strengthen brand identity, Taichung City is promoting integrated marketing under the brand “Taichung Freshest,” establishing a model for agricultural brand management, connecting local farmers’ associations, expanding diverse sales channels, and enhancing product visibility. The city also deepens the concept of “Local Production for Local Consumption” ensuring consumers enjoy both peace of mind and meaningful value in their purchases. This year, the Taichung Pavilion will showcase a wide array of products, including Xinshe shiitake mushrooms, Dajia taro chips, Taichung Fonghua honey, Daan “Flying Pig” pork, Dongshi pears, Heping tea, Fengyuan citrus, Wuri rice, Wufeng wine, Sijiaolin coffee, and Longjing peanut oil. These products are provided by farmer groups supported by the Agriculture Bureau and represent the agricultural excellence of Taichung, from mountain regions to coastal areas. The bureau hopes to once again achieve outstanding results through this collective effort. The Agriculture Bureau warmly invites the public and international buyers to visit the Taichung Pavilion (4th Floor, Booth No. S0923) to experience firsthand the smart choices cultivated from the land and witness Taichung’s leading edge in freshest agricultural products!
