The Agriculture Bureau of Taichung City Government (hereinafter as "The Agriculture Bureau") guided the New Community Farmers Association to organize the "Ziyao Grape Guoran Xinshe - Taichung City High-quality Grape and Agricultural Products Exhibition and Sales Event" at Taipei Hope Plaza on 8/2 and 8/3 to market and promote Taichung City Xinshe grapes, Dongshi Gao Jie pear, Lishan peach and other high-quality agricultural products, and welcome the public to visit and buy.

  The Agricultural Bureau addressed that summer is the season of abundant grapes, among which Kyoho grapes are the most important table grape variety in Taiwan, with a total planting area of 372 hectares and an annual output of 9,606 tons, mainly planted in Xinshe, Dongshi, Waipu and Shigang districts, with the largest 301 hectares in the new community. Because it is located at the western foot of the Central Mountain Range, in addition to the nourishing land of Dajia Creek and Daan Creek, and because of the large temperature difference between day and night, it is conducive to the accumulation and color change of sugar in the fruit.

  In order to cultivate Taiwan's own high-grafting varieties, Mr. Liu Shenquan screened out an excellent new line from more than 2,000 hybrid offspring - Treasure Island Manna pear, which has large fruits and thin skins. It has strong disease resistance, can save the use of pesticides and fertilizers, and its storage period is long, the fruit is not easy to oxidize and change color when cut, the cabinet has a long life, the juice is abundant and there is no residue, the taste is good, sweet and delicious, and it is deeply loved by consumers.

  Lishan is blessed with a unique cool climate and pure water quality, giving birth to sweet and juicy peaches, which are one of the most eye-catching local fruits in Taiwan's summer. The cultivation area of Lishan peaches is about 462 hectares, which is the largest production area in Taiwan, and it is currently in the production season of Lishan peaches, including Shanghai peaches, new white phoenixes, large jade white phoenixes, Zhongjin white peaches, Setouchi and other excellent strains, and the production period is until mid-August. Currently, it is the peak season for grapes, pears, and peaches in Taichung City, and citizens and friends are welcome to take practical actions to support Taichung's high-quality agricultural products.

  At today's event, Huiying Xu（副分署長徐惠瑩）, Deputy Director of the Central Branch, the Agriculture and Food Administration of the Ministry of Agriculture, Wenyi Liao, Technical Director of the Agricultural Bureau, Wenzheng Luo, Director General of the New Community Farmers Association (新社區農會總幹事羅文正), Limei Zhang, Director General of the New Taipei City Farmers' Association (新北市農會總幹事張麗梅), and Dongliang Yang, former Director General (前總幹事楊棟樑), all attended the venue.
