To promote the application of smart agriculture, the Agriculture Bureau of Taichung City Government (hereinafter as " the Agriculture Bureau") has launched the “Agri Data Taichung” (台中農易通) digital platform. The platform integrates agricultural information and services, offering diverse functions such as field management, market updates, weather alerts, safe pesticide use, and the latest agricultural news. With this platform, farmers can access real-time agricultural information anytime and anywhere, realizing the goal of “one-stop agricultural services.”
To help farmers become familiar with the operation and application of the platform, the Agriculture Bureau has been conducting training sessions since September 19 at farmers’ associations in Xinshe, Dali, Shalu, Waipu, and other districts. The final session was held today (September 30), led by the system developer, Easymap Digital Technology Inc. The training drew active participation from farmers’ associations, production and marketing program students, and farmers. Through hands-on demonstrations and real-time interaction, the training enabled farmers to quickly master the platform.
The “Agri Data Taichung” platform integrates the Agricultural Information Station, Agricultural Early Warning Center, price and volume analysis, and agricultural information to deliver the latest agricultural news, policy announcements, and industry updates in real time. It also features weather alerts and instant notifications on crop diseases and pest outbreaks. In addition, the platform offers a dedicated “Lishan Farming Assistant” to help farmers in the Lishan area stay informed about road conditions, ensuring safer travel to and from the mountains. The platform further provides information on pesticide, feed, and fertilizer supply points, as well as resources for biological control materials and a plant protection information system. An integrated pesticide dilution calculator is also provided for farmers to easily determine the proper amounts of water and pesticides, helping ensure safe usage, crop health, reduced waste, and minimized environmental impact.
The Agriculture Bureau noted that through the “Agri Data Taichung” training program, farmers are not only assisted in becoming familiar with the platform’s operation but are also encouraged to apply it extensively in their daily farm management. This program fosters the advancement of smart agriculture and moves Taichung toward becoming a prosperous and sustainable smart agricultural city. The Bureau also urged farmers to make full use of the “Agri Data Taichung” (台中農易通) platform (link below) or subscribe via “TCPASS” to immediately experience the convenience and security brought by digital technology, thereby enhancing the efficiency of agricultural operations.
